Welcome to the German Club Website!

The German Club SAIS was founded in the fall semester 2007 in Washington DC. Several German SAIS students realized that there were no links between German and Germany-interested students, professionals and academics at SAIS. Furthermore, there was little connection between SAIS and JHU Alumni in Germany, and students in Bologna and DC. With several SAIS students planning to start their professional careers in Germany, they decided to change this.

The next step aims to connect prospective, current and past students on this new platform, the German Club SAIS website. We aim to enable:

  • Prospective students to learn more about SAIS and the institution and network they wish to join;
  • Current students to connect between the Bologna and Washington campuses, continue to expand the activities and network of the German Club in Washington and to provide a network of professional contacts in Germany;
  • Alumni to reconnect with old friends, share personal and professional news, have a forum for discussions, and help better organize their regional and national activities in Germany.

We hope you will find this website useful and enjoy exploring its functions and sections. We are still in the beginning and therefore happy to incorporate your suggestions on how to improve it. Please send your comments, questions or recommendations to germanclub.sais(at)gmail.com

All SAIS and JHU Alumni living in Germany receive a welcome letter inviting them to REGISTER on this website. It is extremely important that as many as possible register; only then will we be able to leverage and strengthen our network.

We look forward to working with you, building this platform and more importantly welcoming you personally at one of the next organized events throughout Germany, in Washington DC or Bologna.

Stay connected!
