Karnevalsparty
On Monday, February 22, the German Club SAIS hosted its famous annual German KARNEVALSPARTY, the best of its kind in town!
Despite heavy rain first SAISers and guests gathered in the in the Nitze courtyard from 7:00PM to enjoy a first beer. Then they marched over to 16th&U Street with "Alaaf", "Helau" and "Kamelle", keeping the tradition of the Karneval Parade. Local 16, our venue in the last two years quickly filled with people, dressed in costumes of all kinds. Germans shared their Fasching spirit, americans remembered their last Mardi Gras and everybody danced to the sounds of german Karnevalmusic.
For us it was the best day of the year! We hope to see you again in 2011!
